Halloween!

Halloween is something we look forward to every year. I enjoy making the costumes every year. And the girls like having costumes that are unique. This year was a little different for us. We needed the costumes so early, that I didn't have enough time. So, I started making them on a Sunday afternoon. And finished them the next day. Spent about $20 and 5 hours.

They were my little BLT sandwiches!

We try to make it to as many Halloween parties and costume contests as we can. This year the girls placed 1st at the Kiwanis Halloween Party.

We also had a party at church. Both girls LOVED that. Lots of games, prizes, and candy were given out.

And to top it all off, we were able to go "Trick or Treating" with some great friends!

It was another great year. And I am already planning for next year!

Still catching up!

I am almost caught up! A few more posts, and I will be up-to-date!

October 29th was another important day for us! It was 9 years ago, on that day, that Nate and I welcomed our first baby girl into the world!

I can't believe it has already been 9 years!

Natalee, You amaze me everyday. Your joy, laughter, smile, and humor bring us happiness everyday! Natalee, you have a heart of gold. I love everything about you. From head to toe. Starting with those curly, golden locks....

Down to your stinky little feet!

Your thirst for knowledge is something I admire about you. You are that little sponge that is always taking it all in.

You have taught me so much about being a mom. You make me so proud!

I love you Sweet Girl! Happy 9th Birthday!

Birthday Party

Saturday, October 15 was a busy day in our house. Not only was it Nate and my 6th wedding anniversary, it was also Natalee and Sophie's birthday party. We had a lot of fun and were happy to have great people to celebrate it with! Here are a few pictures from the party compliments of Ginger Randall!

The meaning of Christmas

I think I am doing something right!!

When your child thinks of Christmas, is this what they think about...

Well, Natalee and Sophie went to the river a few weeks ago. They were there to clean up the lot. While working, Sophie said one of the sweetest things EVER!!

Sophie : "Grandma, did you know that Christmas isn't about getting presents, it's about giving. And it's about Jesus Christ, our Savior."

Yep, I think I am doing something right!!

Better late than never!

The last month has been CRAZY! Can't believe I am so far behind on an update. I don't even know where to start!! Well...I guess I will start with Sophie turning 5.

How can this be?!?! My baby girl turned 5 on October 7th. I can't believe it! Where has the time gone? I remember when we brought her home.

I remember pacing the house at all hours of the day and night. I remember pushing her in the stroller from the kitchen, through the dining room, to the living room and back.

Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing! I have loved every most every minute of this journey I have been on with her.

Sophie has changed our lives in so many ways. When she laughs, everyone laughs. Her happiness is contagious.

Sophia, I love you more than you will ever know! Happy 5th Birthday Sweet Baby Girl!
